The Antonio Cardarelli National Relief Hospital has been recognized by the Ministry of Health as a suitable structure, for a period of three years, to organize and carry out training courses for maritime personnel, pursuant to the Decree of 16 June 2016, published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale of 22 august 2016 n. 195.

The training courses, which take place at the UOC Training Research and International Cooperation of the AORN “A. Cardarelli ”and at the I.M.A.T. (Italian Maritime Academy Technologies) of Castel Volturno, are divided as follows:

  • first-level training courses, called First Aid, lasting 24 hours, 12 of which are practical exercises;

  • first-level refresher courses, called Refresh First Aid, lasting 12 hours, 3 of which are practical exercises;

  • second-level training courses, called Medical Care, lasting 46 hours, 12 of which are practical exercises;

  • second-level refresher courses, called Refresh Medical Care, lasting 15 hours, 5 of which are practical exercises.

First Aid and Medical Care and refresher courses are held at IMAT’s Castel Volturno site.

The exams take place at the AORN Biotechnology Center “A. Cardarelli “, 80 Via Antonio Cardarelli, 9 – 80131 Naples
