This is the core of <strong>Promo Assessment<\/strong>, a project launched by <strong>IMAT<\/strong> and <strong>Silversea Cruises Line <\/strong>for the evaluation and development of future commanding officers. Dedicated to the Deck Department, Promo Assessment is structured around clearly defined targets and, through strict international standards, finalizes a truly personalized growth path for Chief Officers being considered for promotion.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1540\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The first two-day training course concluded with the drafting of a detailed report that summarizes the results of psychological tests, evaluations from practical exercises, and observations collected throughout the entire assessment: a document that provides the candidate with a clear tool for personal development and, at the same time, offers the company strategic insights into potential and areas for improvement.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1541\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">This first cycle of advanced simulations took place at our IMAT headquarters in Castel Volturno and was structured over two intensive days during which the candidate for command at Silversea was subjected to complex operational scenarios, designed to faithfully replicate high-difficulty real-life situations.<\/p>\n<div class=\"reader-image-block reader-image-block--full-width\">\n<figure class=\"reader-image-block__figure\">\n<div class=\"ivm-image-view-model    reader-image-block__img-container\">\n<div class=\"ivm-view-attr__img-wrapper\n\n        \"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"ember1542\" class=\"ivm-view-attr__img--centered  reader-image-block__img evi-image lazy-image ember-view\" src=\"https:\/\/media.licdn.com\/dms\/image\/v2\/D4E12AQE_7qC1hAhyyg\/article-inline_image-shrink_1000_1488\/B4EZh.XGA5GUAg-\/0\/1754466640919?e=1760572800&amp;v=beta&amp;t=4sTJ88vq1wC4Con-cXWFUwQsRZCGV9LgVqaBulXW1xI\" alt=\"Contenuto dell\u2019articolo\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"reader-image-block__figure-image-caption display-block full-width text-body-small-open t-sans text-align-center t-black--light\">Final debreafing<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"ember1543\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The project was led by Instructor <strong>Francesco Frascogna<\/strong> with the support of Instructor <strong>Antonio D\u2019Angelo<\/strong>, who oversaw all phases: preparation, briefing, simulation activity, and final debriefing with targeted feedback.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1544\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The psychological assessment was conducted by <strong>Dr. Feliciana Nebbia<\/strong> through the administration of psychometric tests such as TOR-Q structured interviews based on the <strong>four-eye method<\/strong>, and live performance evaluation.During the simulations, the candidate was assessed simultaneously by all trainers on key soft skills, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decision-making under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Stress management<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving<\/li>\n<li>Authority<\/li>\n<li>Etiquette and manners<\/li>\n<li>Time management<\/li>\n<li>Human resources management<\/li>\n<li>Emotional intelligence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"ember1546\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The complex scenarios, time pressure, the management of both virtual and real teams, and the need to maintain appropriate behavior even in critical situations enabled a <strong>360-degree assessment<\/strong> of command capabilities. The program concluded with the creation of a detailed individual report, which proved valuable both for the candidate\u2014as a personal development tool\u2014and for the company\u2014as a foundation for strategic decisions on leadership and growth.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember1547\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">&#8220;<em>Beyond the purely technical aspect\u2014a challenge brilliantly overcome thanks to the expertise developed over the years by IMAT\u2019s educational team\u2014Promo Assessment highlights important issues regarding the future of maritime leadership&#8221;<\/em> comments <strong>Rosario Trapanese<\/strong>, <strong>Director of New Development and Strategy<\/strong> at the Castel Volturno Center. <em>&#8220;In an era of rapid technological transformation, how important are soft skills, the ability to manage the unexpected, emotional maturity?
